Functional Awareness for Mind and Body

Join Mandy for this unique workshop, pulling upon pieces of what she knows from Yoga Therapy, Corrective Exercise, and 20 years of trainings on “all of the things”. #TrainingJunkie We might use myofascial release, mini bands for resistance strength training, tennis balls for throwing/catching or head cushions for posture improvement. Movements could include rolling, crawling (there are a lot of ways to crawl), stepping over/under/onto objects, balancing (possibly on elevated surfaces), getting up from the floor in a pile of different ways, push-ups, squats, walking over uneven surfaces…..you name it. Varied movement. Varied experiences. But all with the goal of doing daily life more easily.

This workshop will be limited to 6 participants. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. There will likely be shared props. And we can’t guarantee that 6 feet of space will be between participants at all times (though we’ll try our best), given the large range of movement we’ll do throughout the room.

*This is a trial workshop that could potentially be turned into a monthly or weekly class. We ask that you bring an open mind and a sense of humor. You are welcome to use your typical class cards: drop-in, 5/10 pass and unlimited passes.
