Parent’s Night Out – February with Friends
Friday, February 7th 5:30-8:30pm
Need a date night or simply some time to run errands without kiddos in tow? We’ve got you covered! We’ll provide a youth yoga class, craft, snack and water.
Please bring a packed dinner for your kiddo. (Peanut free)
This special offering is open to fully potty trained kids, ages 4-9. Feel free to send your little one in movement appropriate pajamas so they are ready to transfer right into bed if they fall asleep on the way home. Our “February with Friends” focus will take on some new partner poses and cooperative creating!!
Chandra Namaskara – Full Moon Salutations
Release what is no longer serving you and invite new intentions with this full moon flow. Join Toni and/or Jessica for a meditative and expansive practice making room for new energy and the renewal of intentions. It is believed that lunar energy has a revitalizing effect on the body. This hour-long mindful flow is intended to help harness that cooling energy and cultivate a fresh perspective.

Toolkit Series: Herbal Spa Evening

Mantra, Meditation and Mudra Monthly Series
Fridays, March 6th, April 3rd, and May 1st, 5:15-6:15pm
Interested in meditation but not sure how to get started or looking for new tools to enhance your meditation experiences? Join us once a month for Mantra, Meditation and Mudra class – each class we will learn a new Mantra (chanting) and Mudra (hand postures/positions) to add to our meditation toolbox. These techniques help offer a point of focus for meditation which may help you be successful, in addition meditating with others can have a supportive and positive effect. Each class will consist of discussion/learning time about the new material followed by practice time and ending in quiet meditation together. All welcome. Class cards accepted.
Reiki 1 Certification Training
Sundays, March 15th, March 29th and April 5th, 12:30-3:00pm
Join Briel Driscoll, RMT for level one Reiki certification. Meets three Sundays, from 12:30-3pm. Certificate awarded at the completion of the class! (Must attend all sessions or schedule a make up with instructor to receive certificate.)
This is a great course for personal growth or professional development. No prior experience or knowledge is needed. This course will provide you with the skills to begin a solid self practice and cover the basics of treating others. There will be some coursework done outside of the classroom including reiki sessions and readings. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited!

Yoga Nidra – A Continuing Ed Course for Yoga Teachers
April 25/26, 2020 8am-6pm (lunch break 12-1)
Yes, yoga nidra is a great “yoga nap” where we rest deeply, but it is so much more. Mandy Glitzer will lead this weekend long module. Learn the science and background of yoga nidra, sleep states, and brain waves. Become familiar with the stages of yoga nidra and how movement and pranayama can lead to a deeper yoga nidra experience. We’ll explore the koshas, samskaras, and karma as they relate to yoga nidra. By the end of this weekend you will feel confident in your ability to create your own yoga nidra script to use at the end of a yoga class, or as a stand alone class.
Book (required): “Yoga Nida: The Art of Transformational Sleep” by Kamini Desai
Yoga teachers who wish to receive a certificate must:
- Read the required book
- Attend the full weekend
- Complete follow-up homework: Practice daily yoga nidra for one month, and journal about your experience. Write your own yoga nidra script and either 1) offer 1 yoga nidra class at Wellness in Motion which can be observed by Mandy or 2) record your yoga nidra script for Mandy’s review and feedback.
** This program is for Yoga Teachers or teacher trainees. Upon successful completion, you will receive 40 hours of CE credits with Yoga Alliance (20 contact & 20 non-contact).
